The new legislation may raise many questions regarding the health insurance industry. While we don't have all the answers, for the past several months, companies have been analyzing the Senate bill to understand the potential implications of this legislation, as well as the ways our business must adapt to be successful in a post-reform environment. We know there are some aspects of the new law that will have direct impact on our industry and our business. We also know these may change the way many companies operate, and the products and services they offer today.

The law is both comprehensive and complex and everyone needs to take time to understand and interpret what precisely this means. This work has already begun and in the coming days we will continue keeping up to date to fully evaluate the law, as well as further articulate the changes that each individual company will make. There are varying effective dates for the components of this law, which not only provides time to reach compliance with new legislative guidelines, but also to take necessary actions to position our business to do the best to help our clients in the future.
